gonna be on aftercare and what I tell my clients that they need to do for their aftercare to make sure that their lashes are in their best health and so that they don't end up with an infection or losing their lashes or whatever so if you guys are in the Facebook group you'll know that I already filmed this video and then lost all of the footage for it so this is my second attempt doing it so hopefully this one's as good as the first one and but you guys will never know but if you guys haven't joined the Facebook group then totally do it I recommend it there is over 250 lash texts in there talking supporting each other telling each other what they've gone through all of that so I totally recommend it especially for you aspiring lash texts or you new lash texts and you're meeting a little bit of guidance and help there is to literally over 250 lash texts that can help you with that so totally recommend getting in that group it's awesome it is linked in the description down below and before I start I just want to thank you all so much for hitting a thousand subscribers I can't believe it literally starting my channel I was like I wanted to do makeup and whatever and I was doing that and I didn't realize that just talking about becoming a lash tech would create this giant family that we have here today so thank you so much to everybody that subscribed to me and has supported me since the beginning or is supporting me now or has just joined this huge family that we have now a thousand people can you believe it but thank you so much for supporting my journey and I am here to support yours I am always answering your messages always answering your comments so please feel free to message you're never gonna be annoying me or anything like that I love helping you all out so please please please message me but I just wanted to put this in there that I was saying thank you for a thousand subscribers it is so exciting and I never thought that I would be here and and having this many people followed me so thank you so much from the bottom of my heart I love you all so much so let's get into the video and not rambling from me we are gonna be talking about what I say to my clients when I want them to make sure that they keep care of their lashes properly so the first one is kind of an obvious one and I know a lot of you guys know this so no water for 24 to 48 hours so I always say this I say if you can do 48 please do that but a minimum of 24 hours is needed without water and this includes excessive sweating this includes a steam room a sauna anywhere that you're gonna be sweating or getting steamed in your eyes please tell them not to do this any excessive water or sweat on the eyes is gonna make those lashes come off and the glue is not gonna have time to set no facials for the first couple days because obviously like I said steam is water it's gonna steam them right off so this one is like a huge tip that I always like to stress to my clients and this is to keep your eyes clean keep those lash extensions clean first of all a lot of myths go around like you're not supposed to touch them you have to baby them don't touch them or you're gonna all fall out that is such a myth because you should be you really should be cleaning them daily if you can and yes it's like oh my god but I'm touching them with water and whatever but seriously I find that my clients lashes last a lot longer when they're keeping up with the with the cleanliness of them because they're cleaning off those natural oils that your body has and your face produces and that really helps for them to stay on longer first of all but also to avoid infection and any sort of irritation that it could cause if there is any dirt buildup so after washing the lashes this is something that just recommend to people blow-dry the eyelashes so you can use a blow dryer and you can put it on the cool setting and make sure it's on the cool setting and the low setting and just blow-dry your lashes upwards and I know it sounds like very extra I'm very funny but it seriously helps so much I have lots of sentence right now I was like I'm gonna treat myself I want lash extensions but I got them on I do that with mine too so tell your clients to use the blow dryer but make sure it's on the cool setting and make sure it's on the lowest setting and don't hold it too close to the eye just make sure that it's a little bit farther away make sure that when they're blow-drying them to brush them in-between and this really helps to get them nice and dry and also clean and curly and all of that another thing I tell my clients is don't rub your eyes because first of all your lashes are gonna fall out even if your nappy under natural lashes and you're rubbing your eyes there's lashes falling out the difference with the lash extensions and your natural lashes is that the lash extensions are like literally like 2 or 3 times longer than your natural lash they're just black so they're very very easy to see you especially on pillows whatever but they are easier to see so that's why you notice them a little bit more but rubbing your eyes is very bad for your eyelashes and bad for your eyes as well first of all if you have dirty hands those germs are going into your eyes and can cause bacteria build up especially in lash extensions because there's just so many more of them and it's harder to get that clean and like I said clean your lashes you won't have issues but if they're not cleaning it and all of that bacteria can build up and that can cause infections absolutely no waterproof mascara or eyeliner strictly because it's gonna be super hard to take off you're gonna be rubbing your eyes like I just said you're gonna lose a ton of lashes and the liner if you don't get it all off it can build up same with mascara it can build up and again create bacteria and all of the and can create so much irritation on the eye so you really really don't want that make sure that your client is brushing their lashes all the time there's some clients that just come in for their fill and you're like oh wow you still like a lot left that's crazy like you've been gone for so long and then you go in and brush all their lashes and they all come out and you're like okay this girl must not have been brushing her lashes because normally those brushing your lashes is gonna help because any lashes that have shed will come out with it tell them to brush at least like twice a day or even once a day if they can just brush once a day and that would be awesome because first of all it's better for them because their set looks better and it's better for us because when they come in for a fill they don't have lashes going every which way and we're not brushing them out and losing like a ton of lashes right there right so tell them to brush their lashes for sure and like I said with the skin oil it's the same with using products no oil-based products on the skin around the eyes or on the eyelashes absolutely no oil-based makeup remover or anything like that around that area it's gonna take their lashes right off it just breaks down the glue and will will just come right out I should have talked about this when I was talking about the hairdryer but when your client is doing their hair getting their hair done make sure that they are telling and whoever is doing it or doing it themselves make sure that they're not pointing downwards on to their lashes with the hot setting because this will first of all straightened out the lash extensions but could also kind of melt the glue together if it's too hot on that area and this goes along with another tip that I'm going to talk about and this is to not put your face really close to the oven or like really close to a really big steamy pot of pasta or something like that because if you get too close or the bark you if you get too close to something it is gonna singe the eyelashes first of all and also could clump the glue together if there's a lot of heat involved with it those are all of the aftercare things that I can think of right now Oh obviously like not shoving your face into a pillow but don't tell your clients to like stop that because you obviously don't want the lashes to be like a burden for them so they're just gonna have to get more fills if they do that so just let them know that that happens and a lot of them will kind of change their sleeping habits so that they don't lose as many as often so that they're not spending as much money so just tell them that but but tell them that they don't have to change their sleeping habits just for lash extensions because that's gonna turn a lot of people off of them before I have in the video I wanted to let you guys know on the Facebook group I will be posting a bunch of different like aftercare pictures and stuff that you can print out you can cut them into like little ones to put in little baggies to give to your clients you can you can make them big you can hand them out and it's just gonna be the list of of the aftercare and I made a ton of different designs for you guys so if you guys want to download those or save them to your phone and you can send them to your clients over text you can always do that I totally recommend actually I don't even know why I haven't thought of doing this myself you can send them over text after they've left your house or whatever then the aftercare guide picture rate to them and then they will know and they'll have it with them all the time they can't lose it like a sheet of paper and also you could print this picture off this paper off and you could put it beside your station so that when you're sitting down and talking with your client about the aftercare while you're still kind of finishing off their lashes you'll never forget anything because it's going to be right beside and I do this with my station I always have like a little a little like note of what I need to tell my clients before they leave for their aftercare but that is it for today's video and if you liked it please give it a thumbs up and subscribe down below and comment down below if you guys want to see me do anything civically and i will see you guys in the
